Grinnell College’s Stephanie Rouse ’13 (pictured) capped a stellar season by running a personal-best time at the NCAA Division III National Cross Country Championships Saturday at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, Wis.

Rouse toured the 6-kilometer women’s course in 22:36.3, the fourth-best clocking in Grinnell history, en route to finishing 149th place in the 227-runner field.

Grinnell College’s Stephanie Rouse ’13 is preparing to compete in the NCAA Division III National Women’s Cross Country Championships on Saturday.

The 6-kilometer race is slated for 11 a.m. at Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis. The men’s 8-kilometer race will follow at noon.

Grinnell College’s Stephanie Rouse ’13 was named an at-large qualifier Sunday for the NCAA Division III National Women’s Cross Country Championships.

The meet will be contested Saturday, Nov. 19, at Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis. The women’s race is at 11 a.m., followed by the men at noon.

Rouse finished 21st at Saturday’s NCAA Central Region Meet with a clocking of 22:49.1. She is the first Pioneer woman to qualify...

Stephanie Rouse ‘13 of Grinnell College earned All-Region honors by placing 21st at the NCAA Division III Central Region Women’s Cross Country Championships Saturday in Waverly.

Rouse had a time of 22:49.1. Following her for Grinnell were Sarah Burnell ’14, who was 38th in 23:26.8, and Hannah Colter ’12, 39th in 23:30.5.

Grinnell College won its league-best 17th Midwest Conference Women’s Cross Country title Saturday, coming up with an impressive effort to nip both Monmouth College and St. Norbert College in a tight race at Ripon, Wis.
