The OISA offers personal, cross-cultural and academic advising and referral as part of our mission to help international and global nomad students find success at Grinnell. We also offer regulatory advising on issues that relate to the benefits and limitations of non-immigrant student status in the USA. Call 3703 to make an appointment. Office hours: Mon. - Fri., 8 am - 5 pm
Programs Include...
- Pre-Orientation for International and US Global Nomad Students take place just prior to New Student Orientation.
- The Host Family Friendship Program offers the support of a "family away from home" and the chance to experience US American culture outside of the campus culture.
- The International Speakers Bureau (ISB): offers international students the opportunity to teach others about their home country and culture!
- MOSAIC is a bi-annual 'magazine' sent to international students, host families, and interested staff / faculty. (it is also posted on our front page)
- FYI from OISA (email blasts) are sent from the office on a weekly basis to share information about events, deadlines, and tips.
