Pioneer One-Card

Pioneer One-Card

Grinnell College has an ID card system called Pioneer One-Card. Students use this ID card to access the residence halls and the dining hall.

Each card has a declining balance account (Campus Cash) option, allowing the card to be used on campus to make purchases without carrying cash. Funds from that account can be used at the bookstore, Spencer Grill, Global Café, campus mailroom, campus copiers, and Marketplace Dining.

Add Funds to Your Pioneer One-Card

Parents and students may add funds to the Pioneer One-Card account online using a credit card. When on campus, students can add money to their account at the Office of Student Accounts by using cash, personal checks, a credit card, or transferring a credit balance from the student's billing account. A Campus Cash machine located on campus, accepting cash transactions only, is outside Crady Mail Services in the Joe Rosenfield ’25 Center.

Card balances will be carried forward to the following semester until graduation or withdrawal from the College. At that time, any remaining balance will be credited to the student billing statement. Pioneer One-Card account balances cannot be withdrawn as cash.
