Mapping Mayapan

Data Files
In general I use ESRI shapefiles for sharing vector format spatial data due to their common support in GIS applications. I generally use ESRI Raster format for raster spatial datasets. If a GIS is unavailable I recommend using a free GIS data viewer, such as ESRI's ArcExplorer. Arcexplorer can be downloaded from the ESRI web site: http://www.esri.com/software/arcexplorer/index.html

Image Files
The following images were created in ArcGIS 8.1 using the spatial data constructed from fieldwork at Mayapan during the Summer of 2001. I include images in two graphic formats for convenience in viewing.
