Jill Davis Schrift has been a lecturer in art at Grinnell College since 1988. During this time, she has taught courses in design, drawing, and all levels of ceramics.

Most recently, Schrift has had solo exhibitions of her pastel drawings and collages at the Bibliothèque Marguerite Audoux, Paris; Les Vergers de l’Art, Paris; and of her ceramic work at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center, Grinnell, Iowa. In the past, she has had solo exhibitions of her ceramics and her pastel drawings and collages at Iowa Artisan’s Gallery, Iowa City, Iowa; Grinnell College Print and Drawing Study Room, Faulconer Gallery, Grinnell College, Grinnell Regional Medical Center, Brenton National Bank, Grinnell, Iowa; Marshalltown Community College, Marshalltown, Iowa; and The Center for Liberal Studies, Clarkson University, Potsdam, New York. Her work has been part of group exhibitions at the annual meeting of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts, Indianapolis, Indiana; the Faulconer Gallery, Grinnell College; Olson-Larson Gallery, West Des Moines, Iowa; Charles H. MacNider Museum, Mason City, Iowa; Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.
