Dear Mr. Graham and Committee,
Be assured I am very pleased to accept your proposal to name the easternmost area of your prairie in memory of my John. We loved that prairie and often, even when ill, spoke of it and you. And he also had said (when leafing through the book "The Prairie" you gave him) that sometime when he was able we'd have to take a stroll through it, so I will be most happy to sometime see it with you. He just might be along too.
