How to Apply to teach in Nanjing

Grinnell faculty and staff who are interested in teaching in Nanjing should submit a letter of interest to the Director of the Center for International Studies by October 2nd . The letter should include a description of the proposed course, a rationale of how the course will contribute to Chinese understanding of the discipline, a proposed department in which the course might be housed, and background information about the instructor's sensitivity to cultural differences. Applications from staff members should include a c.v. that demonstrates qualifications for teaching at the postsecondary level. The application will be reviewed by a committee consisting of the Director, a member of the Chinese and Japanese Department, and two faculty who have previously taught in Nanjing.
