The committee's purpose is to enhance the Grinnell College Education Program's communication with area schools. Part of the committee members' responsibility is to inform their school's faculty about our program and to relay questions and concerns about any aspect of our program. The committee also serves to facilitate the work the area schools and the education department do together to provide an excellent pre-service teaching education for our students. The committee advises the faculty on evaluations for student teaching and field experiences, helps formulate a clear mission statement, makes suggestions about enhancing our curriculum, and improving observation/field experiences for students. The length of term on the committee (either two or three years) is staggered to allow some continuity in membership.
