About Cori Jakubiak
Cori's research focuses on critical issues in English language education. In particular, Cori is interested in English language voluntourism, or short-term, volunteer English language teaching, in the Global South: what claims are made about it; how those claims are taken up and/or contested (and by whom); and the experiences volunteers have in classrooms while teaching. Cori is also interested in U.S. K-12 schooling as it relates to English language learners (ELLs), world language education, and issues of ecological and social justice.
