About Martha Voyles
Martha Voyles, currently on Senior Faculty Status, earned a B.A. from Whitman College and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University. Her research focuses on gender differences in math, science and technology, and the strategies students use to solve problems in math and computer programming. Her most recent publication is a study of teacher behavior in single-gender classes of upper elementary students learning computer programming in the content of an introductory robotics course. She has taught science and mathematics methods courses for prospective elementary and secondary teachers and maintains an interest in those areas.
