Grinnell College does not not find housing for students, does not endorse any particular housing arrangement, and holds students responsible for securing their own housing. The College makes no representations or warranties and accepts no responsibility regarding the suitability and safety of any housing arrangement entered into by a student.

The majority of students who attend the GIL program arrange their housing before arriving in London. Arranged housing options utilized in the past include Euracom Flats and the Chelsea Point Residence Hall. Some students also choose to find their own housing, by using their ingenuity, talking with previous GIL students, and letting their fingers do the typing through various search engines. Further information on the 'find your own flat' option is available in the GIL Student Handobook.

Euracom Flats
are all well-appointed flats located in Zone 1, within easy reach of the GIL site. The GIL site is located at 99 Great Russell Street in Bloomsbury (central London- great location!). For photos and full descriptions of the large number of flats available, visit the Euracom website. The flats have a kitchen, living room/dining room, bathroom, and bedroom. Larger flats with more than one bedroom have a second bathroom. All of the flats are provided with cutlery, crockery and a full range of utensils. Bed linen (and a spare set) are also provided together with towels. All the flats have television, and most now have either wireless or broadband internet access. Laundry facilities are either within the flat or the building.

Chelsea Point Residence Hall
is a fabulous newly renovated building right in Chelsea. For a complete picture of all the amenities of Chelsea Point, including an on-site laundry facility and 24 hour security, please visit the website in addition to an extra page devoted to Chelsea Point. Beyond the high quality housing provided by Chelsea Point, the best benefit to choosing this housing is that here is the American students opportunity for immersion since Chelsea Point houses American, British and international students. The composition of Chelsea Point is 40% American, 13% British, and 47% international. The international students come from 6 continents and 40 countries. No other housing option will bring you into contact with as many British and international students as Chelsea Point!

Find Your Own Flat
is an option some students choose in order to have more control over both location and cost. Information about how to find a flat is avaialbe in the GIL Student Handbook. Additionally, a Flat Hunting Guide is available to help you with this challenge.
