Julia Fine '10

 

I am interning with the Defence Medical Welfare Services, a hospital welfare organization providing holistic care to members of the Royal Navy, Army, and Royal Air Force. DMWS has welfare officers in hospitals in the UK, Germany, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Iraq, and Afghanistan, who provide practical and emotional support to patients. I am working at their headquarters, located on Albert Embankment, helping them with PR details in an attempt to raise their profile, and also compiling a research report on the current state of veterans in prison in the UK. - Julia Fine '10, GIL 2008 Intern
