Go Run Political Leadership Opportunity

This Spring and Summer 2006, The White House Project will offer four Go Run Political Leadership Trainings (MN, WA, GA, and CO) There is an interesting relationship between Grinnell and The White House Project with me being a graduate (‘88) and our President, Marie Wilson, holding her first political office in Des Moines. We have talked about how great it would be to engage young women in our program from Grinnell - students and others. The training is shaping up to be quite fantastic this year with the very best speakers and trainers. Please follow this link to attend a political leadership conference. About 1/3 of the women who attend Go Run are currently running for office and the rest say they will run in “5-10 years” or “someday.” After the training, the networking, and of course, the big time inspiration, most women say they will run in 2-3 years. It’s a great program. Scholarships are available. More information can be found at www.thewhitehouseproject.org.
