Diana Shull received her A.B. from Vassar College in 1999 and is currently finishing her Ph.D. at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her research focuses on the impact of the 1918-1919 influenza pandemic on the Igbo people of Southeastern Nigeria. She is particularly interested in how Igbo women articulated their unhappiness with the changes wrought by both British colonialism and the flu through a series of political actions during the 1920s. Her broader research and teaching interests include British history and
the history of disease, public health, and urbanization in Europe. She also enjoys cooking, eating, and reading mysteries.
