Marc has published over thirty-five papers in refereed journals (with twenty co-authors) and regularly speaks at conferences and colloquia. He has worked in the areas of differential equations, dynamical systems, number theory, and experimental mathematics. Marc believes that the computer can be used to find many new conjectures which are out of reach of the paper-and-pencil approach. His Erdos number is three. Marc's measure of a good paper is usually not whether it is "useful", but whether it is "beautiful."

Outside of math, Marc enjoys spending time with his family (with three children), meditation, making music (piano, guitar and voice), and biking.
