Professor Fennell has a B.A. and M.A from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and received his Ph.D degree from Northwestern University. His research interests are in the philosophy of language, and concern in particular the problem of normativity and the critical assessment of naturalistic approaches to meaning and mind. He teaches courses in philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, and logic.
