Mount Vernon is located at the intersection of Highways 1 and 30, just 12 miles east of I-380 and 20 miles north of I-80.

Directions to Mt Vernon from I-80 heading west (from Illinois):
Take I-80 West towards Des Moines
Take the IA-1/DODGE ST exit, EXIT 246, toward MT VERNON.
Turn RIGHT onto IA-1 N/N DODGE ST. Continue to follow IA-1 N.
Continue FORWARD on IA-1 past the stop sign at HWY 30 to the first
stoplight.
Turn LEFT on 1st St. SW (first stoplight).
Cornell College will appear on your left (just past 5th Ave. stoplight).
Turn LEFT at Commons Circle (first driveway on campus).
Stay left. The building at the end of this circle is the Commons where the
conference events will take place.

Directions to Mt. Vernon from I-80 heading east (from Des Moines):
Take I-80 east towards Davenport.
Merge onto I-380 N/IA-27 N/US-218 N via EXIT 239B toward CEDAR RAPIDS/WATERLOO.
Merge onto US-30 E via EXIT 16A toward MT VERNON.
Turn LEFT onto IA-1/1ST AVE S.
Turn LEFT on 1st St. SW (first stoplight).
Cornell College will appear on your left (just past 5th Ave. stoplight).
