The Watson Fellowship is a one-year grant for independent study and travel outside of the United States awarded to graduating college seniors nominated by participating institutions, including Grinnell College. The Institute for Humane Studies awards scholarships up to $12,000 for undergraduate or graduate study in the United States or abroad. Last year IHS awarded 120 scholarships to outstanding undergraduates, graduate students, law students, and professional students who are exploring the principles, practices, and institutions necessary to a free society through their academic work. - Deadline in early December.
