What will $1 buy? What are the effective mechanisms to fight poverty?

The Rosenfield Program in Public Affairs, International Relations, and Human Rights and the Center for International Studies co-sponsored a symposium on domestic and international poverty, April 13-15, 2010, to examine these questions.

Members of the International Student Organization (ISO) presented a panel on poverty in their homelands and displayed items that can be purchased in those nations for only $1.

Here, ISO Social Coordinator Wadzanai Motsi ’12 of Zimbabwe explains how the organization is involved in raising awareness of the issue of poverty worldwide
