MICHAEL P. DRAYTON (Russian). Mike is currently beginning an M.A. program in Teaching English as a Second Language (MATESOL) at San Francisco State, after 25 years, 21 of which were at Hewlett-Packard and its spin-off, Agilent Technologies.
The study of linguistics, language acquisition, and pegagogy makes him think often of Grinnell, and his wonderful Russian teachers, Randy Magee and Dennis Whalen. He wishes he had done this earlier in my life, but there's no time like the present! The only Russian connection there is that he may have some Russian immigrants as students, especially if he teachs in San Francisco.
