NARRAH (KANSAS) PALMQUIST (Russian). Narrah went on the '83-84 Interim trip to the USSR with John Mohan. She spent New Years' on Red Square, met surreptitiously with underground artist Yuri Aarak in Tallinn, and rode the train from Leningrad to Helsinki! After graduation, she worked for Associated Publishers in St. Paul, MN translating Pravda into English. After they went out of business, she ended up moving into higher-education database management and worked for the College of St. Catherine and William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul.
A true liberal arts graduate, she is now splitting his time between operating her own photography business specializing in candid children's portraits and event photography (http://www.narrah.com) and caring for her three children Ian (age 5), Abby (Age 3.5) and Joey (Age 18 mo). She still speaks Russian with several Russophile and native speaker friends.

MARSHALL T. POE (Russian and History). Marshall wrote a book that I had to read for my Russian history class with Professor Kaiser. This is his info in that book: Marshall T. Poe is the author of several books on Russian history, including A People Born to Slavery: Russia in Early Modern European Ethnography, 1476-1748. He has taught history at Columbia University, New York University, and Harvard University, and is currently an analyst with the Atlantic Monthly.
