PAUL AMES (History, RCEES Concentrator) ...
NAOMI BETHEL (Russian, RCEES Concentrator) Naomi is currently waitressing in East Lansing, Michigan by day and applying to
Grad schools and studying for the GRE by night. Actually, she manages to squeeze
in some of the local bar and music scene. But really, the plan is, as always,
figuring out ways to get the government to pay for her to go back to russia. She
would really love to someday start a program to improve literacy in the tiny
towns and villages scattered throughout Russia. She'll probably go to grad
school for russian in the midwest next year.
She can be contacted at naomibethel@hotmail.com when her grinnell email dies.
SOFIA BRICHFORD (Russian and Classics) Sofia is as of yet still unemployed, but she is still contactable and so we can find out about her adventures as they happen!
JOSH BRODY (Russian) Josh received his M.A. at the U of Chicago for Russian Literature. He now lives in Iowa City.
NAOMI CAFFEE (Russian) ...
ELIZABETH CLARK (Russian) After she spent a couple of years after graduation running around Russia, a friend talked her into moving to Minneapolis just because. She now works at a non-profit organization for people with developmental disabilities. She lives with a turtle, a cat, and a lot of people, though she is still quite reminiscent about that fabulous Moscow apartment that had between two and eight people living in its two rooms at any one time.
COCO DOWNEY (Comparative Linguistics, focusing on Russian and Chinese) is currently working towards earning a Master's degree in
Regional Studies: Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia at Harvard
University's Davis Center, which she will complete in 2008. Before
beginning her studies at Harvard, Coco spent the 8 previous months
working as a proofreader in Prague, the Czech Republic, and the
academic year before that on a Fulbright in St. Petersburg, Russia,
studying the instruction of Russian as a foreign language by Russians
to different groups of foreigners. Coco welcomes email from friends
of the department at her Grinnell alumni account downey@alumni.grinnell.edu.

KATE OTTESEN (Russian) Kate is still at the University of Iowa pursuing her teaching license in special education at the elementary level. She'll be student teaching in the spring.
