Helen Scott joined the Russian Department in 1981, and taught all levels of our language and literature sequences. Helen also taught linguistics at Grinnell, and made a major addition to our students' options for Russia-based study programs when she organized the ACM-GLCA Semester in Krasnodar, Russia in the mid-1980s. Helen has also been active in the study of gender issues in Russia, and headed a Hewlett-funded project in St. Petersburg in Summer 1992.
From 1992-2005, Helen served as Associate Dean of the College.
