The Writing Lab, a complex of five offices that open into a common room, is located in ARH 132, on the first floor of one of the campus's busiest classroom buildings.

As a commemorative plaque in the offices reveals, a 25th reunion gift from the classes of 1965 and 1966 made possible the construction of these offices.

The offices were designed to accommodate the way the lab works.

A bulletin board in the office features schedules of each staff member so that students can easily sign up for appointments or on the waiting list.


To facilitate this process, student office managers occupy the desk in the waiting room, where they greet students, answer the phones, and manage the waiting list.

Windows in doors and walls allow staff members to keep an eye on the waiting room and people in the waiting room to see the staff members as they work.

Each staff member has a private office in which to conduct consultations.
