Dan has worked as a technical writer and a ghostwriter, and served in an editorial capacity for Artful Dodge magazine and Blue Mesa Review. Before he got into writing, Dan worked as a juggler, a tax law expert for the IRS, a bartender, a graphic designer, a café manager, and a magician. He is a Watson Fellow.
