Bill came to Grinnell with a bachelor's degreee in secondary English education and a minor in history; much later, he earned a master's degree in writing with an emphasis in poetry. Prior to joining the staff of the Writing Lab and teaching high school English for over 20 years, he worked both in sales and as a recreational therapist. For all of that time he has been writing poetry that he intends to finish soon.
