Private Lesson Instruction

Private lessons in musical instruments or voice are available for all Grinnell College students, whether beginner or advanced, music major or non-music major. In a typical semester, approximately 20-25% of all Grinnell students take private lessons for credit. For Music majors, private lesson instruction is subsidized at the junior and senior levels. The department employs 26 instructors (see listing below) for voice and instruments ranging from piano to bagpipe. The Bucksbaum Center for the Arts contains 14 practice rooms that are open during all building hours.
