Rosenfield Grants for Teaching

This year the Rosenfield Program will extend its pandemic-era program to support teaching in the form of a modest honorarium for a remote speaker and funds to assist with purchase of films. Consider applying for these funds if a speaker or film of interest to you intersects with Rosenfield’s mission areas of public affairs, international relations, or human rights. Standard honoraria or film funding is up to $250. Please apply at least two weeks before funds are needed. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis, with an allotted total available for each term.

Internship Funding

Each year, the Rosenfield Program sponsors several competitive grants allowing students to explore career paths in public affairs, international relations, and human rights. Rosenfield Program grants fund student internships across the globe and this year will support in-person and virtual opportunities.

There are abundant internships out there. Interested in journalism? The Rosenfield Program routinely funds an internship at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, giving students experience in both breaking news reporting and in-depth feature writing. A former Grinnell intern says “My summer at the Post-Gazette provided me with an unparalleled look at the environment of a professional newspaper and gave me a much fuller sense of how I work, what work I'm good at, and what work I find meaningful.”
