Professor George Barlow Welcome! We are delighted that your son or daughter is considering Grinnell College. This website will provide you with helpful information as you and your student continue through the college search.

You might not take notes in class or live in the dorms, but as a parent you will be a vital part of the Grinnell community. We know the entire family is affected, both emotionally and financially, when searching for a college, but we encourage you to let your child take the driver's seat.

The college application process can be overwhelming. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions concerning Grinnell. Best of luck to you and your family as your high school student prepares for post-secondary education.

Although your child is taking one of the first major steps towards independence, she or he still relies on your knowledge and support. The more informed you are about the application process and the College, the smoother things will go. With that in mind, we have compiled important information to keep you apprised of what to expect.
