8:20 am Wake up.
8:25 am Hit snooze for the second time.
8:30 am Get out of bed.
8:38 am After figuring out whether to wear jeans or shorts (got to love Iowa fall), I am ready to leave my room.
8:42 am Enter the dining hall, grumble something that sounds close to "good morning" to Connie (the lovely woman who sits at the Information Desk), get my yogurt (yay it's cherry vanilla!) and my Frosted Flakes and go to sit at a table by the window.
8:55 am I realize that I still have calculus homework to do ... luckily class isn't until 10.
9:00 am Arrive back at my dorm, turn on the lights and open my calc textbook.
9:10 am I am still on problem number one ...
9:30 am Done with calc homework, time for a nap.
9:45 am Yes, I just took a 15 minute nap, you are so jealous.
9:50 am Off to calculus with Professor Wolf.
10:00 am Calculus begins with Professor Wolf going over a homework problem from Monday that stumped him. Yes, we stumped our calc prof.
10:30 am He is still going over the same problem.
10:50 am After going over two problems, and the mathematical theory behind the problems, I am fully content with my choice to be a political science major.
11:00 am Back in dorm working on religious studies paper for the Religious Traditions of India.
11:20 am Done with paper! YAY.
11:30 am Yep, I'm back asleep in my room, now you are really jealous.
12:00 pm Lunch with Juli, lovely.
12:45 pm Religious traditions of India with Professor Dobe.
2:05 pm Mind blown.
2:05.5 pm Still trying to decide what feminism in Hindu caste structure can teach me about the complexities of Hinduism as a whole.
2:15 pm Send in my religious studies paper. I had sent it in earlier but I made a slight error. Let out a huge sigh of relief, still 2.5 hours early.
2:20 pm Meet with Caroline in Burling, discuss our lives.
3:30 pm What, is that the time?!?!?!
3:40 pm Get back to dorm and begin working on poli sci reading for the Politics of New Europe.
4:00 pm Get distracted on Facebook.
4:05 pm OK, back to work.
5:00 pm Dinner with Abby, nothing I'm in the mood for at dinner but a great time nonetheless.
5:50 pm Walk into Mears Cottage and begin phoneathon (working for Alumni Relations is one of my campus jobs).
8:00 pm Finished with phoneathon, got $10,550 in gifts (a personal best). Also, I had the privilege of talking to some very interesting alumni, including a man who started his own realty development firm in DC and now owns part of Grinnell (the town) as a pet project. I was also able to talk to a woman who is an anthropology professor at Lehigh University.
8:15 pm Meet Vinita at the Bear (the gym).
8:30 pm Why do I go to the gym?
9:00 pm Seriously, why do I go to the gym?
9:15 pm Back in the dorm, shower time.
10:00 pm Do some reading for poli sci then catch up on my Newsweek.
11:30 pm Asleep, yeah I know you are so jealous.
