Why did you choose Grinnell?

Compared to other colleges I visited, Grinnell made the best impression on me. I chose Grinnell specifically because I felt I would be treated as an individual rather than as one student in a student body of thousands.

What do you love most about Grinnell?

There are so many things I love about Grinnell. If I had to decide, then I would say I love the individually advised curriculum. Grinnell's curriculum trusts students to take the liberal arts approach (to get an education with both breadth and depth) and to collaborate with their advisers in creating their own four year plans. I've collaborated with multiple advisers in the past, and I'm grateful for the individual attention I've received from all of them.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

If you're having trouble deciding which college is the best fit, then I would highly recommend visiting. If you've already visited, then visit again! A college visit is the closest thing to experiencing what your average day at that college will be. It can also remind you of the important traits and features you were initially looking for when your college search began and give you the chance to determine if the college you're visiting has those qualities.
