Grinnell international alum releases first "indie" filmManish Acharya recently directed his first feature film, the crossover The Loins of Punjab Presents. After studying physics and computer science at Grinnell College, Acharya returned to his native India to create films. A fan of both Woodie Allen and Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Acharya wrote and directed this romantic comedy, which contains a light-hearted depiction of Non-Resident Indians through a fictional television show, "Desi Idol."
