Campus visits are one of the best ways to decide whether Grinnell is a good fit for you. Descriptions, photos, chats, interviews, brochures—these are all great resources. But at the end of the day, simply walking around campus or sitting in on a class may be just as informational. You have the opportunity to do more than glance through images or hear secondhand about Grinnell’s excellence. You can feel what it’s like to be a Grinnellian.
The decisions you will make in the upcoming months are critical. We invite you to form your own opinion, through the experience of living and learning here for a few days. Those few days may be formative to your future!
Don’t be shy—“prospies” are a perennial favorite on Grinnell’s campus. You’ll have an enthusiastic host, should you choose to stay in the dorms. Classmates and professors alike will be interested in what you have to say. You can also get to know other prospective Grinnell students, who may be your future classmates.
We welcome you and your family to:
- Tour the campus
- Stay in the dorms
- Eat in the dining hall
- Attend classes
- Meet professors and students
- Have an admission interview
- Shop in the bookstore
All interested students should contact the Office of Admission at least 10 days before their arrival.
