Trip Length and Dates - The trip length is 13 days and spans Saturday, March 15 through Thursday March 27.

Group Size - The minimum group size is 25 and the maximum is 35.

Activity Level - Moderately Active Tour.

What to Expect

For the most satisfying experience (and in fairness to your fellow travelers), please note that this tour requires the following:
* Ability to walk without assistance at least one mile over uneven terrain.

* Ability to climb sets of stairs that do not have handrails, without assistance.

* Ability to walk and stand for up to two hours in museums or other sites listening to a guide.

* Ability to keep pace with an active group of travelers on long days of touring, sometimes in high temperatures under a stong Mediterranean sun.

What Is Included In Tour Cost

* Educational program of lectures and discussions provided by Professor Gerald Lalonde of Grinnell College, and Eleni Zachariou, an official guide certified to serve as an historian for all archaeological sites in Greece .

* Accommodations in three to five-star hotels based on double occupancy.

* Meals as indicated in the itinerary (B-breakfast, L-lunch, R-reception, D-dinner).

* All special visits and excursions; all transportation and sightseeing with expert guides as set forth in the itinerary.

* The services of an ATA tour manager.

* Baggage handling for one bag, plus one carry-on bag per person; pre-trip notes and guidelines; service charges, taxes and basic gratuities.

What in Not Included

*Airfare to and from Greece from your home

*Passport photos and fees

*Visa fees

*Meals not specified in day by day itinerary

* Personal items such as wines, liquors, a-la-carte orders, room service, and valet/laundry charges

*Travel Insurance

*Expenses incurred by Academic Travel Abroad in making individual travel arrangements before or after the program

*and other items not specifically mentioned as included.

Payment Schedule

$500 deposit upon application.

Balance due upon receipt of invoice, 90 days before departure.

If final payment is not received by 60 days prior to departure, your space is subject to cancellation.

Land only tour cost* $4,795 (*per person, based on double occupancy)

For a single room add $935

Program price based on a minimum of 25 participants, and a maximum of 35.

Single/Shared Rooms

A limited number of single rooms are available at extra cost on a first-come, first-served basis, but availability cannot be guaranteed. Academic Travel Abroad will assist persons requesting a roommate. However, neither a single room nor a share can be guaranteed. Participants will be notified if we are unsuccessful in finding a suitable roommate. In this case, the single supplement will be charged.
