Assistant Coach Jason Martinez

Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers

Jason Martinez, who joined Grinnell's coaching staff in May 2010, will serve as defensive coordinator and work with the linebackers.

He most recently served as defensive line coach, special teams coordinator and strength and conditioning coach at Illinois College. He coached at Bemidji State University from 2006-2008, serving as defensive line coach, and at Albion College from 2005-2006 where he was assistant defensive line and special teams assistant.

Martinez was a three-year starter and four-year varsity letter winner as a defensive lineman during his playing days at Albion. He also participated in track and field at Albion, where he earned all-conference recognition.
