Honor G Award Winners
At the end of each academic year, the Grinnell College Athletic Department recognizes its senior athletes for his/her accomplishments as an athlete at Grinnell College by presenting six major awards to each gender. Below is a description of each award along with the 2007 recipient. Following each description is a list of past winners for that award.

WOMEN'S AWARDS:

Grace McIlrath-Parker '11 Award
Given to a senior female athlete who competes in a single sport and who meets the following criteria:
1.) Outstanding performance in her sport
2.) Outstanding leadership on the team
3.) Upholds the traditions of athletics on- and off-the-field
4.) Contribution to team and school morale
5.) Contribution towards the betterment of athletics and education in general

2007 Team Sport Recipient: Liz Carrier '07
2007 Individual Sport Recipient: Julia McHugh '07

Joyce Buck '56 Award
Given to a senior female athlete who competes in more than one sport and who meets the following criteria:
1.) Outstanding performance in her sport(s)
2.) Outstanding leadership on the team(s)
3.) Upholds the traditions of athletics on- and off-the-field
4.) Contribution to team and school morale
5.) Contribution towards the betterment of athletics and education in general

2007 Individual Sport Recipient: Katie Ryan '07

Honor G Scholastic Award
The scholastic award is given to the individual who has achieved the highest cumulative grade point average, who has participated in a varsity sport every year on campus, and who has lettered at least once.

2007 Recipient: Erin Booth '07

George B. Critchett '25 Service Award
The service award is given to the individual who has received the most letters over the course of her Grinnell career.

2007 Recipient: Kate Diedrick '07

MEN'S AWARDS:

Morgan Taylor '26 Award
Given to a senior male athlete who competes in a single sport and who meets the following criteria:
1.) Outstanding performance in his sport
2.) Outstanding leadership on the team
3.) Upholds the traditions of athletics on- and off-the-field
4.) Contribution to team and school morale
5.) Contribution towards the betterment of athletics and education in general

2007 Team Sport Recipient: Sean Pfalzer '07
2007 Individual Sport Recipient: Eli Best '07

David Theophilus '51 Award
Given to a senior male athlete who competes in more than one sport and who meets the following criteria:
1.) Outstanding performance in his sport(s)
2.) Outstanding leadership on the team(s)
3.) Upholds the traditions of athletics on- and off-the-field
4.) Contribution to team and school morale
5.) Contribution towards the betterment of athletics and education in general

2007 Individual Sport Recipient: N/A
