Attended Cooper City High School … Earned four letters in baseball and was a Baseball Factory Preseason All-American as both a junior and senior while also being named a Team One All-American and a Blue/Grey Pre-Select as a senior. Wrapped up his final season with a 6-1 record and a 2.03 ERA on the hill while striking out 55 batters in 51 innings of work. Also led the team in strikeouts as a sophomore. He was invited to pitch in the Southern Collegiate League in the summer of 2006 and the prestigious Valley League in 2007 and 2008, and this past summer was near the top in stats for relievers … Aside from athletics, was a two-time State Science Fair finalist and a Venture Scholar.
