The visitors went up 34-0 early in the third period before Grinnell pieced together an 11-play, 57-yard scoring drive that was capped by a 25-yard TD pass from McCabe to Granera. McCabe also had a 14-yard completion to Harpreet Singh-Mann ’12 during the drive. Mike Bogard’s ’12 extra point made it 34-7 with 6:57 left.
Grinnell’s next score was set up by a Ripon fumble. After McCabe completed a 26-yard pass to Granera, the quarterback ran it in from 2 yards and Bogard made the extra point to bring the hosts within 34-14 with 6:19 remaining.
