Not only did every player who dressed find the scoring column for the Grinnell College men’s basketball team in Tuesday’s 137-103 victory over Faith Baptist Bible College, the Pioneers set an NCAA record in the process.
Nineteen of 20 Pioneers hit at least one 3-pointer to shatter the NCAA record, regardless of division, of 14 players set by Redlands in a Jan. 29, 2005 victory over Caltech.
Griffin Lentsch ’13 led the charge with six treys, while four other players hit two each and 14 others had one apiece. That led to 28 3-pointers overall.
This is the 11th NCAA single-game record the Pioneers have achieved.
