High School:
Played for Coach Darren Barndt at at Lake Forest High School where he earned All-Conference honors. Aside from basketball, he lettered four years in both cross country and track & field. He was recognized on the All-Conference, All-County, and All-Sectional Teams three times in track. He was a State and Regional Champion in both the 800m and 1,500m runs before placing 20th in both events at Nationals.
