Ben Tyler ’14 of Grinnell College earned All-Region honors by placing 23rd at the NCAA Division III Central Region Men’s Cross Country Championships Saturday in Waverly.

Tyler had a clocking of 26:06.3. Following him in Grinnell’s lineup were Erik Figge ’13, who was 53rd in 26:37.5, and Nathan Kakazu ’13, who placed 76th in 27:06.1

Rounding out Grinnell’s scorers were Sam Krauth ’14 (107th in 27:36.3) and Frank Canady ’14 (116th in 27:45.2). Harry Maher ’15 was 124th in 28:00.6 and Evan Griffith ’15 was 127th in 28:05.3.

The individual champ was Ben Sathre of St. Thomas, who finished in 25:35.3.

The team champ was Nebraska Wesleyan with 93 points. Grinnell was 14th with 375.
