Harry Maher ’15 (pictured) led the way for the Grinnell College men’s cross country team at the Brissman/Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana College Friday at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill.

Maher finished 114th in the 403-runner field in 27:05.3. Next in line for Grinnell were Chris Gallo ’14, who was 167th in 27:53.3, and Doug Anderson ’15, 169th in 27:54.7.

Rounding out Grinnell’s scorers were Ben Burt ’13, 196th in 28:14.0, and Tyler Smiley ’14, 201st in 28:18.3. Jack Menner ’13 added a 205th-place finish in 28:20.1 and Zach Angel ’15 was 207th in 28:20.6.

The individual champ was Andrew McLain of Lewis University, who won in 24:52.8. Host Augustana easily won the team crown with 43 points. Grinnell placed 22nd in the 33-team field with 609 points.

Other members of the Pioneer team will compete in the Roy Griak Invitational Saturday at Minneapolis, Minn.
