Reich '09, Pioneers, Earn All-Academic Recognition
The Grinnell College men's cross country team continued its success out on the courses this season, and on Monday afternoon (Feb. 26), was awarded for its success off of it. The team was one of 86 Division III teams to be recognized on the Division III All-Academic Team.
To earn such honors, a team must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or higher for the season. The Pioneers combined for a team GPA of 3.35. Eastern Mennonite University captured the highest GPA of 3.91. Calvin College was named the Division III All-Academic Team of the Year after winning the NCAA Championship as well as meeting the minimum GPA requirement of 3.1.
Not only did Grinnell earn recognition as a team, it landed individual honors in Henry Reich '09. Reich was one of 108 student-athletes to receive the accolades. Individual runners must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher to be eligible.
