The Grinnell College men’s golf team recorded a 331 on Friday and is in a seventh-place tie at the Prairie Fire Classic hosted by Knox College at Weaver Ridge, in Peoria, Ill.

Leading the Pioneers was Peter Marsho ’12, who shot a 5-over-par 77 and is tied for fourth in the individual standings.

Ian Luby ’13 and Jared Dye ’12 both shot 83s for Grinnell and are tied for 26th place. Chris Marsho ’14 added an 88 and is tied for 46th, while Jon Cohen ’14 is tied for 50th with a 90.

Grinnell is tied with Augustana in the team standings. St. Norbert College leads the 13-team meet with a 313, and the Green Knights’ Joe Martin is the individual leader with a 72.

Grinnell also has a B team in the meet. The Pioneers were paced by Ethan Kenvarg’s ’12 82, which puts him in a 22nd-place tie.

The meet concludes on Saturday.
