Peter Marsho ’12 recorded a stellar round of golf for the Grinnell College men’s team Tuesday, firing a 3-over-par 74 at the Simpson College Spring Invitational at Indianola Country Club.
Marsho finished in a five-way tie for fourth place and was just two shots behind the individual champion, Johnny Schwaller of AIB.
Grinnell tied for eighth in the team standings with William Penn, both shooting 330s and just one shot out of sixth place. Wartburg edged Des Moines Area Community College 299-302 for the team title.
Following Marsho in Grinnell’s lineup were Ian Luby ’13, who tied for 36th with a 12-over-par 83. Jared Dye ’12 was next in line with an 86 to tie for 51st, Jimmy Borrasso ’12 and Jon Cohen ’14 added 87s to tie for 56th and Chris Marsho ’14 added a 95 to finish 75th.
Grinnell will compete in the Knox College Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
