Grinnell College’s Peter Marsho ’12 (pictured) is just two shots off the lead following the second day of the 2011 Midwest Conference Golf Championships Friday at Aldeen Golf Club in Rockford, Ill.

Marsho followed Thursday’s round of 79 with a 77 to be sitting at a 12-over-par 156, two shots behind the leader, Eric Busalacchi of Carroll University. Marsho is in third place.

Grinnell has two other golfers in the top 20, as Alex McDonald ’11 is tied for 18th with a 168 and Jon Cohen ’14 is tied for 20th with a 169.

Chris Marsho ’14 is tied for 24th with a 172, Ian Luby ’13 is 26th with a 173 and Kale Knisley ’11 is tied for 28th with a 177.

As a team, Grinnell is fifth with a 664. Carroll University leads two-time defending champion Monmouth College 631-642 entering the final day on Saturday.
