Grinnell College defender Evan Wright ‘12 has been named to the District 8 NCAA Division III Academic All-District men's soccer second team.
The award is presented by Capital One and the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Wright, a chemistry major from St. Paul, Minn. (St. Paul Academy Summit), was a Soccer Coaches Association Scholar All-Region selection last season and has earned Academic All-Conference honors numerous times in his career.
He finished the 2011 campaign with three goals and an assist. His efforts helped Grinnell qualify for the Midwest Conference Tournament three times and a league tourney crown in 2009.
