Despite winning the shots battle, the Grinnell College men’s soccer team lost a 2-0 decision to St. Norbert College Saturday afternoon at Springer Field.

Grinnell managed seven shots in the game, including two by Omeed Kashef ’14 (pictured) and one apiece from Pun Winichakul ’13, Joseph Brown ’15, Bozo Susac ’12, Charlie Kessner ’12 and Reed Caron ’13.

The Grinnell College men’s soccer team lost a 2-0 decision to Central College Wednesday at Pella.

The Dutch, who improved to 6-4, scored a goal in the 15th minute and added another in the 19th minute for a 2-0 edge at halftime.

Central won the shots battle 29-5. Grinnell’s shots came from Benjamin Warner ’15, Bozo Susac ’12, Omeed Kashef ’14, Joseph Brown ’15 and Reed Caron ’13.

Lawrence University slipped past Grinnell College 2-1 in double overtime in the Midwest Conference men’s soccer opener for both teams Saturday in Appleton, Wis.

The Grinnell College men’s soccer team earned a 1-1, double overtime tie with Simpson College Tuesday night at Indianola.

After a scoreless first half, Grinnell opened the scoring when Bozo Susac ’12 (pictured) scored his team-high third goal of the season in the 57th minute. Elliot Meyer ’15 had the assist, sending a cross to Susac who knocked it home from 3 yards out.

Grinnell held the lead until less than 30 seconds remaining...

Grinnell College was in striking distance at halftime, but host North Central tallied four goals in the second half to pull away for a 5-0 men’s soccer win Sunday in the title game of the Sal Vaccaro Tournament.

North Central was up just 1-0 at halftime with a goal scored in the 24th minute. The hosts then tallied three goals in a 12-minute span to stretch their lead to 4-0 by the 62nd minute, and scored again in the 75th minute.
