Grinnell College’s Michael Brus ’14 earned All-America honors in the 100-yard backstroke Friday at the NCAA Division III National Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.

Brus had been originally awarded seventh place, but a timing malfunction on the part of another swimmer was discovered and that athlete was moved up from eighth place.

Robert Barry of Denison won the event in 47.76.

On Thursday, Brus earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 200 freestyle.

Brus will compete in the 200 backstroke on Saturday.
