Pioneers Fall to No. 15 Coe

The Grinnell College men's tennis team was back in action on Sunday afternoon, falling 8-1 to No. 15 Coe College.

The lone win for the Pioneers came in the No. 3 singles match where DJ Warden knocked off TJ Leicht 6-4, 6-3. Nate Fox took the first set against No. 9 Ryan Yao before Yao stormed back to take the next two sets, 7-5, 6-1.

The No. 1 and No. 2 doubles team each dropped tough matches as the No. 1 team of Fox and Warden fell 8-6, while Eric Ohrn and Sam Raife dropped a 9-8 decision.

The Pioneers (12-5) return to action on Friday afternoon when they host Ripon College in a 3:30 p.m. match.
